It might, if the use of the innovation you are thinking of is less environmentally harmful than the use of relevant alternatives! Hence, you do not need necessarily to look for a “breakthrough” in absolute terms of eco-efficiency or transform the core of your business idea.
Many existent products, services and processes are intrinsically eco-innovations since they are effectively less harmful to environment than available alternatives. Then, every environmentally improved product or service counts as an eco-innovation.
