Copenhagen University expands - NanoGeo Science

30 Mar 2007
On 30 March the Minister of Environment, Connie Hedegaard, inaugurates Nano-Science Center's new research area NanoGeo Science.

Improved water quality, waste management and oil extraction
NanoGeo Science is the framework of several new research projects. The projects aim - among others - at improving the quality of drinking water, assuring environmental waste management and developing methods of extracting oil in the North Sea.

Interdisciplinary cooperation under the Nano-Science Center
NanoGeo Science covers 30-40 researchers, PhD-students, engineers and students, working together across the disciplines of physics, chemistry, biology and geology. The scientific area of NanoGeo Science will be connected to the Nano-Science Center, which started in 2001 and today has over 100 researchers and has received up to 300 million DKK in external finance.
